White Flag

I wage no war. I lay my pride at your feet. Whatever I fight for is yours to give, and what you fight for my pride can no longer conceal. The pretender I am wages war and prides himself in your wrongs. I would declare you an enemy, yet you hold my heart. I feel your embrace in the coldest of nights, a weapon you use to carve my heart open. I am vulnerable in your arms. I would wage war before I would tell you of the better man you make of me. I will sharpen my swords and run to surrender to you. Whatever is to be of me, I hold no concern. For in war, I am no one, and in this defeat, I accept, I am yours. I will go on my knees and raise my white flag. I will spit out my pride and proclaim you the victor. I will not fight to win my pride and lose your affection.
