In life's swirling dance, amidst the rush and hail,
We learn of self-care, like a cherished tale.
It's not just grand plans or things so wide,
but tiny acts of love, where we hide.
A deep breath amidst the fleeting heat of the day,
Or a short nap when we meet exhaustion’s way….
A stroll among the trees, or under skies of blue.
It sings and tells of the old and also of the new.
With a warm cup of tea and a favorite book in hand,
Or an hour of our quiet in a serene land….
A call to a friend, a hug so warm,
they’ll close our unseen scars and life’s harm…
These are grand changes from the simple ways we seek,
Each fills our spirit, when we are weak.
yet lines, roads, and the words we also need to say….
Drawing lines, and saying "no" with grace, gives us strength in every place.
Self-care is not selfish, it's a vital need,
Feeding our souls with life's truest feed.
A bath with candles and soft tunes in play,
Speaks volumes of love by all means.
Forgiving ourselves, abandoning this veil of fear,
admitting our mistakes, and reciting our lyrics.
Celebrate little victories, get up and go,
and set up a ramp with where we fall.
This self-care rocking chair tune becomes ours,
The drawing is a piece of the moon for us.
Care for us, we will bloom again,
and share warmth and affection, without refrain.
