The joy of being a wallflower
An ecstasy few would gather
To dissolve like ink in an ocean
As if from drinking a magic potion
To merge into nothingness
Showering a smile with haziness
To shine through the mighty clouds
But distant from the evident crowds
To vanish like whispers in the breeze
Scattered by time, as if to appease
To guard the fortress of the heart
Even as it crumbles excruciatingly apart
Caught in a tempest, a restless maelstrom
With no solace or aid to come
Like stardust in the Herculean cosmos
Wearing the crown of charming mojos
To love and care like no other
A gift, a curse, a quiet power
The ethereal finesse of the wallflower
