Where Does It Hurt?

Where does it hurt?

It hurts

deep within, where no soul is left,

where no eyes can see.

It hurts

like a paper cut,

deeper than before.

I have broken bones,

but it never hurt like this before.

The silence captivating me,

as though there was no sound before.

I'm blinded in the hurt,

swimming in the pits of despair,

searching for light that

is far gone.

So don't ask me

where it hurts,

when the soul no longer

wishes to live,

or see

the light of day.

Where does it hurt,

after

All I gave,

and was left to feel like I

was no one,

like I was the reason

There is misery in the world.

Where does it hurt?

Touch my soul,

and you will no longer wish to live.

That's how much it hurts.
