When You Are At The Peak

By Navamika Ragesh

I craved for the  mountain top,

But fear is pulling  down,

What does it feel to be at peak,

I bet it feels all so unique.

But what if you ever  trip?

People think you’re bullshit.

But really what’s up there

I Always kept my glare .

I took tiny baby steps ,

Went up with little preps .

Toiled day and night ,

Finally got it right .

I was at the peak with few.

I looked at the valley,

It looked all so tiny .

Vanity took me away ,

I walked with pride and slayed,

Oversaw a big giant rock ,

On my leisure evening walk,

Worst has happened to me

I stumbled ,fell down deep.

I reached the valley , just as  feared,

I pinched , its not at all a dream.

My pride was swept away,

Got that ;everything goes away .

Now I’m not afraid ,

To take a second hike ,

Cause if I trip again ,

I’ll bravely  start again.
