When Times Are Rough

By Michelle Lamzouzam Dsa

The heaviest price you pay when times are rough

is the feeling of maybe never having enough.

It is in these times you begin you see,

what really isn’t and what simply shouldn’t be.

These are moments that never seem to end,

places you are stranded in without even a single friend.

Where everyone around you is okay,

and only your clouds are suddenly turning blackish grey.

But maybe right after now is when you’ll see,

it isn’t the world but your vision that has turned cloudy.

Wash yourself up and be what you are,

be what you want, even if it seems like its far.

Remember those that wait for you to stand tall,

to stand back up and rise from this very long fall.

Embrace the magnificent movement that lies within,

its time for you to finally get up and take the win.

The heaviest price you pay when times are rough,

is the feeling of maybe never having enough.

But the times will change,

so make the attempt, break the cage.
