When the Weight Feels Too Much

Hey Friend,

I know you’re tired, I know you’re drowning

I know it’s too late to act on the warning

Why me god? Why me? I’m sure you must be complaining

This shall too pass, I know you’re tired of hearing

But will it pass? That question haunts you at night

Should I give up or should I fight one more time

Pause.

Breathe.

Whatever you’re thinking, half of them is in your head

You’re trying to connect the dots and now it has become a thread

It is becoming larger and larger day by day

Just sit in silence and I’m sure you’ll find a way

You’re chasing patterns that aren’t really there

Till they grow so tangled, it will be too heavy to bear

You don’t have to run, just take one small stride

I’m here beside you, not just on the side

We’ll gather all the pieces, all cracked and true

And build something braver, something new
