When The Party's Over

After all has been said and done,

Will we be through?

The last of the wine is down inside me,

Nothing left for you.

When the party is over and the music ceases,

What will become of you?

After we have dismissed the guests,

Will you dismiss me?

Leave me to a cold and empty bed.

Or will you hold me, like I’m holding you?

When the party is over, and all the people gone,

Will you stay with me?

After we have cleaned up the mess and picked up the broken glass,

Will we pick up our broken hearts?

Or will we leave them shattered on the floor

To deal with on another day.

When the party is over, no trace left to be found,

 Will we continue to dance?
