When The Moons Misalign

By Vanshika Gupta

You were the full moon, always bright and happy, taking the strongest qualities of people and

enhancing them for the better. Your smile illuminates the room, and your heart enlightens the

world.

I was the waning crescent, constantly tired and introspective, my light is almost gone and I'm

ready to surrender to the universe.

We were two moons sharing the same sky, but never the same night-always close, yet destined

to stay apart.
