Wisdom over ripened

No longer needed

Superfluous

It is now in my youth

I need the fruits of wisdom

To understand the nature of love and loss

A merciful God

Would let us grow older

Spare us this descent

To youth and foolishness

What cruelty set the clock

To run ever younger

We cry to the fates

Turn back the hands of time
