When I Look at You......

By Muhimtulay Ammara Mohammed Amin

When I look at you You smile at me Your kindness reminds me of vast and big ocean and seas

I look at the sky And count the stars Endless and infinite Is what my thoughts are

You make me always wonder, How is that possible? You smile at me and I feel blessed and grateful

Sometimes it reminds me of a child's laughter An innocent yet to know of a world beyond her

Why is the ocean so vast and endless when I reach my hands out its so far away from me

Why are the stars infinite and tiny

When I try to count them I feel so sleepy

How blessed I am to have you With me

Accompanying me from burth and for as long as you can see me

Holding my hands when I was a kıd

As I follow your footsteps

You watch me grow as it should fit

Having you by my side is my greatest wish Holding your warm hands and watching you gently gaze at me that is!

Years grew old, Months have passed And seasons have changed I kept flipping the hourglass Till I reach my teenager days

I'm grateful to you And I'll always be without you I doubt My days and nights wouldn't have passed peacefully

Years grew old,

Months have passed

And seasons have changed

I kept flipping the hourglass

Till I reach my teenager days

I'm grateful to you

And I'll always be without you

I doubt

My days and nights wouldn't have passed peacefully

I'm like a wordless book in front of you

Why so I wish to thank you and apologize for something I could not do for you
