Sitting alone in darkness

with all the lights shut

tears of broken heart

rolling down non stop

tears ask me, what's my fault?

I loved you unconditionally

expecting nothing in return

I did all you ever asked for

without asking any question

love ask me, what's my fault?

I walked on your footsteps

bare feet on hot burning sand

I wouldn't let go off your hand

even if they tried to slip from sweat

burnt feet ask me, what's my fault?

I would laugh along with you

I would cry before a drop of tear

rolled down your cheek

My day started and ended with you

loneliness nights ask me, what's my fault?

I would stand up with you

cover all your wrong doings

I would support you always

without thinking even twice

thoughts ask me, what's my fault?

Broken heart painful tears

numb arms, legs and brain

shattered dreams

living lifeless life

broken me ask me, what's my fault?
