What Is Maturity

By Gaurav Gangmi Thapa

What is maturity? Is it taking responsibility,

Or maybe just speaking less, seeking simplicity?

Maturity is more than a single trait,

It’s a blend of understanding, a thoughtful state.

Is it knowing when to act, when to pause,

Navigating life’s challenges, without a cause?

Yes, it’s in the choices we make each day,

Finding strength in our hearts, in what we convey.

What about being quiet? Is that the key?

A calmness that helps us truly see?

Being quiet holds power, a chance to reflect,

To listen more deeply, to connect and protect.

But what if I talk too much, in a rush to be heard?

Does that make me impulsive, with every word?

Speaking freely shows passion, it’s part of your light,

Yet balance is needed, to find what feels right.

So, maturity means more than just one way,

It’s a dance of understanding, come what may

It’s knowing when to share and to hear,

In the richness of life, we grow year by year.
