After completing school, I was leaving the city for higher studies. Only the thought of me leaving, stressed her out.

This feeling of stress is ‘Love’

She wanted me to stay. But on the day when I was bidding goodbyes to everyone, she let me go with teary eyes.

Those tears in her eyes is ‘Love’

We used to call each other every day, talking about each and everything. Day without her call felt like a void.

That feeling of void is ‘Love’

Often I used to surprise her by suddenly visiting and she always treated me with my favourite things to eat.

That gesture of impressing one another is ‘Love’.

We both used to take care of each other’s things, health, mood. We used to guess mood just by hearing their voice.

This care taking is ‘Love’

One day, I got a call while working. It was not the time we used to talk. I picked up smiling, only to know that she is no more. My smile vanished, tears rolled down my cheeks. I felt a bigger void which is going to remain for the rest of my life. How can she do that to me? How can she go? My Dadi was strong! I said to myself.

This is ‘Love’.
