What If?

Its a date, I am sitting face to face in a cafe with this damn girl whom I adored for months even though we texted sometime trust me, initiating a conversation sitting opposite to a drop-dead gorgeous woman and looking into her doe eyes with Raja’s karaoke in the background is the most difficult thing you’ll ever experience. As it was my first date the previous day I googled and selected some less cheesy pick-up lines to portray me as a cool dude but those eyes killed all my brain cells and made me forgot everything. I really felt like a clown when I saw her in that maxi, she literally glowed in those yellow lights, and that “hey Gokul” from her was very confident and sanguine unlike me. The first thing came to my mind is “oops! Bro she is way out of your league”..my fucking insecurities further pulled me back to initiate the conversation and I already got thoughts like I missed a chance of the life time, she’ll definitely gonna post this as her worst date experience ever of her life in some random confession page. To change this boring date upside down the
Harry Potter in me used all those magic spells, like lightning in a bottle one of my favourite songs (ஏதோ செய்கிறாய்) was played (spell worked) and I noticed her eyes through her big round specs getting excited that too just for the preludes. Yuvan is a genius who precisely knows where to add that euphonious portion in songs, without getting saturated he will make us to wait for that portion to hit and fly high along with that which comes like just two to three times in a song. The second the song was played we looked at each other, in our hearts of heart we know something damn gonna happen between us, we hummed the song together and we controlled ourselves to not to burst out but still we did as we couldn’t hold when the line. “அன்பே இந்த நிமிடம் நெஞ்சுக்குள் இனிக்கிறதே அடடா இந்த நெருப்பு மயக்கமாய் இருக்கிறதே உன்னால் இந்த உலகம் யாவுமே புதிதாய் தெரிகிறதே” rolled. We just sang together crazily like a crack head at a far end of the cafe without minding anyone. It just took me one evening for the transformation from a tongue tied guy with lots of insecurities who had never been on a date to singing my favourite song at a cafe along with a girl. All I needed was a spiffy girl and Yuvan’s music to break these curse.
Trust me connecting through vibe is great but creating that vibe by same music taste is affluent. We never stopped talking after that and the most exquisite twist is that the date started with “Spaghetti” but ended with “Kalaki” in a random tiny roadside shop. I know hereafter my favourite song’s lyrics gonna pierce my solu even harder and I finally got someone to ask 👉👈 Us when? To all those aesthetic love edits. And One line which kept running in my throughout that night is “அடடா ரகுவரா உனக்கிது கிடைக்குமா?”.......
