What Hope Feels Like

By Aayra Singh

Between the hours of late night chills and early morning blush, the mountains were wrapped in the blanket of thick snow It was utter silence, no owl hooted in sight, no cat prowled in secrecy, even the sound of our breaths numbed against the sight of the sky It felt as if the universe had shifted gears One step forward and you are floating among the stars

It seemed like a starry night sky opus brought to life, so unspeakably beautiful We stared at the sight till it felt like infinity and it was as if we belonged In an epiphany it hit me that this is what hope feels like after being stuck in a long eerie junction I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, opened them again and there it was , that soul blessing view, better than a dream.
