What Does Love Mean

Love is the fire that never fades,
A quiet ache in the dimmest shades.
It’s the way you move, a fleeting dream,
A beauty too perfect for words to redeem.
Your hair flows like whispers of the night,
Catching the stars in its gentle flight.
Your eyes, deep as the earth’s hidden seas,
Steal the breath from my lungs with ease.
Your smile—it could raise the dead,
Soft and fierce, in hues of red.
It lingers like sunlight after rain,
Both a soothing balm and a searing pain.
But it’s not just the way you look that breaks me,
It’s the warmth in your voice, your boundless energy.
You’re the calm in storms, the spark in stillness,
A force so gentle yet full of brilliance.
You carry the world like it weighs nothing at all,
Lifting others even when you fall.
You’re kindness wrapped in radiant light,
The kind of soul that turns wrong to right.
Love is the weight of all you are,
An unspoken wish on a falling star.
It’s the way you laugh, the way you care,
The way you make the universe feel unfair.
It’s standing beside you, wanting to say,
That you’re the reason I survive each day.
But I know my place—I’m not the one,
I’m just the shadow beneath your sun.
It’s seeing you smile for someone else,
While my world quietly dissolves and melts.
It’s swallowing words that will never be heard,
As my heart breaks with every word.
You’re the poem I’ll never complete,
The symphony where silence meets.
You’re everything wild, untamed, and free,
And I’m the boy lost in what could never be.
If love means burning, then let me burn,
If it means losing, I’ll wait for my turn.
For to love you is the greatest pain,
A hurt so raw, I’d do it again.
And when you walk away someday,
Taking my light, my hope, my way,
I’ll still love you with all that’s left of me—
A shattered heart that chose to set you free.
