"What A Word."

Validation, what a word

With its every presence in every space,

I'll look for it on good days and bad,

Watch a girl turn grey.

Hypocrisy, what a word.

with its meaning on every tongue

It is given but never spent,

watching my reflection turn on itself.

Nuance, what a word.

With its art lost in hate

I'll open mine to interpretation

but bruise in its existence.

Masculinity, what a word

With its broken pieces held by broken men In hope of finding love without loving

What a scam

Indifference what a word

Neither hate nor love

A cruel betrayal in ignorance

What a calloused experience.

Spirituality, what a word

With its whispering bellows on doors,

A silent prayer from atheists' caves looking for serenity in serendipity.

Oh Words: Why this hollow catharsis?
