What a journey it's been!

I heal in every sense

That's a challenge I give myself

Tossing and turning in bed

As my thoughts eat up

My physical self.

I think nobody hurt me

As I have hurt myself

Repetitive thoughts

Thinking a lot

Feeling heavy all day long.

When carrying the wait

Became no easy game

I give up people pleasing

In every way

To be back with myself.

Had heard those thoughts

Can be powerful

Beware of what you think

As I realise the real cause

Of my backache and sick leaves.

My sis says I'm only relaxed

When I'm asleep

I run away from such words

As they reveal my reality

I suffered a lot sadly!

Tight, constricted, can't breathe

Never relaxed, always not free

That's how alive I have been

A big congratulations to me

I'm quite successful in killing me!

Closing this chapter

Is never easy

But now I am grateful

That I'm on my team

As I begin to release.

Waiting for the day

I learn to be

Relaxed and happy

At the moment I truly breathe

Phew, what a journey it's been!
