What a Blibber Blop of a Day!

I woke up yelling “skribble-snap!”

my pillow bit my ear,

my blanket growled “kerplop kerplap!”

and chased me down the stair.

I brushed my teeth with ketchup sauce,

I buttered up my shoe,

my kitty meowed “Guten Tag”,

then sneezed a loud “achoo-moo-boo!”

The toaster launched a bagel

that smacked me in the eye,

the fridge began to opera sing,

the ceiling learned to fly.

I spilled my socks in orange juice,

my comb dissolved in glue,

my mirror shouted “BANANA FACE!”

(…which sadly might be true).

At school I wrote an essay

all made of “meep” and “zong,”

the teacher gave me A+++,

then fainted with a bong.

By lunch my sandwich vanished,

my juice box said “adieu,”

I think it joined the circus with

a dancing kangaroo.

So next time life is tricky,

and chaos just won’t stop,

I’ll shrug, and say with dignity:

“Behold! The Blibber-Blop!”
