Well! No You Cannot.

In a world of 'gratitude,'

 I'm told to dwell,

Yet, 'attitude' lurks,

 I cannot dispel.

'Bow before high tides,'

 your counsel, so sage,

But in 'sighs' and unrest,

 I find my cage.

'Be humble,' you say,

 in the role of a 'girl,'

But does it shield me

 from life's relentless swirl?

'Politeness over aggression,'

 the mantra I've heard,

Yet, 'decisive' outcomes

 leave me disturbed.

A 'woman' should shun 'pride,'

 you declare with might,

But my 'stride' knows no bounds, 

in the face of that plight.

Well... No, you cannot 

dictate every rule,

For in living and learning, 

we often find fuel.
