Wednesday's Child is Full of Woe.

I mourn the living.

I mourn them more than the dead.

It's the mere thought of losing what I have

That pierces my soul

Worse than that which is already lost.

I mourn the living.

The people I have.

The ones I know.

The ones I love.

For there is no point in mourning those

Whom I once loved.

Those who chose to leave,

To let go.

To detach.

To move on.

To lose me.

I mourn the future

For the present that I have.

For all those I love and may lose to time,

To work,

To distance,

To people.

I don't dwell on the past

Or focus on the present.

I mourn for the living

And the future we may never have.
