Way Too Reel Or Way To REAL?

By Nami Sneha Jain

Aksar humne suna hai, Loggon ko kehte -

Live Life Real, and Not Reel

Sahi hi kehte hai na!

Cause it’s the Real that stays forever and not the Reel.

So let’s take a quick stock of our Insta feeds and saves.

What do they give?

Rose-tinted beauty, perfect lifestyles, and all the feels.

But behind lies the unseen hard work; the truth, the failed retakes

that the influencers put in.

Scrolling through my favorite Lifestyle Vlogger/ Influencer feed -

It makes me want to travel the world, eat fancy food, wear that designer dress & replicate the exact lifestyle…

But duh! The last thing you need to do is, return home, and get comfy sipping your preferred drink.

As much as we want to dive & jump into the Reel world,

The truth is - it’s just the hangover, the drug, the “KAASH” followed by ifs, buts, and how. While the Real brings in peace and is the “EHSAAS” of living in the moment.

While Reels are just an element on your feeds,

The Real is the beginning, the middle, and an infinite series of moments lived!

While Reels are the chapters that end quickly as they started, sometimes in 30 seconds as well Real is the concrete foundation and treasure of our lives.

While Reel is just the edited happiness we showcase to the world,

Real comes with its own flaws, errors, and mistakes.

So the things to learn the hard way is -

We simply cannot control what comes to fruition in our lives;

At the end of the day - Let's learn to differentiate between way too Reel and Real.

Pave our own path to the real!
