Watercolor

By Lavance Jethro John

Deep Sea Dreams,

Flowing gently down the streams;

Wading unconsciously, deliberately,

As moonlight showers gleamed.

Blue in day, as in night.

In both, holding on to hope tight;

Feeling sky connect with sea,

I'm hoping—praying for the right temp tonight.

Coasting through the rivers,

As nightfall casts its shivers.

Floating to find who I'll be,

Where I'll go, and be delivered.

To find myself in lakes,

Ideals met with stakes

Means my journey breathes anew,

Whether it makes or breaks.

Awakenings I can't attain,

For identity still remains–

In the depth of ocean blue,

Where pred or prey retains.

Though predators are cowards,

And prey has yet to move forward,

I swim sweetly to what's true,

Representing two, both empowered.

Deep Sea Dreams,

Feeling fresh, it seems,

For hydration was the key,

Me and water, one in all, a good team.
