Water vs Fire: Are They Really Competing?

Fire boils beneath the Earth,

And water on its surface.

Fuming like it owns the world,

Showing of its turban.

Carrying everything in its path,

Water raids the land.

One example of it is simply the grainy sand.

One creates ashes and dust,

While the other damage and fuss.

Volcanoes and wildfires owned by the flame,

Tsunamis and floods by the water.

Both have equal fame,

But one colder and the other hotter.

Fire relies on humans to light it,

From two pieces of wood.

Water doesn’t need permission,

It goes straight for the good.

We use it for cold and calm,

Whereas the other for heat and warmth.

But both are important not just for us,

But they hold each others trust.

Without water, fire wouldn’t stop,

Burning taller reaching the top.

Without heat, ice wouldn’t melt,

Standing still, imagine how it felt.

Water controls the fire and weakens it,

And heat changes the water, completely transforming it.

We hold responsibility for both,

But they also keep an oath.

They may be enemies and opposites,

But strong allies on top of it.

Don’t think they deeply dislike each other,

Instead they always stand for one another.

Because fire needs an end, and water a change,

On each other they depend, that sounds strange.

One will never stop helping its friend,

That is why its story never ever ends.
