Here’s to strength,

because there’s been a lot,

there will be more,

and there’s going to be no stopping.

Here’s to strength,

because there’s a lot to brave,

and not to sigh.

Here’s to the grunts that remained silent,

to the blows that got louder,

to the aches that told you

who you really are.

Here’s to strength,

that endured it all,

and took those as a push.

Here’s to strength,

that burnt the soul,

only to be its own light

in the dark.
