Walk By

I’ll walk by broken hearts,

And through the deepest sorrows.

I’ll let the fears drown,

The string of hope I follow.

So, what if I cry the night,

And wake up new tomorrow,

So, what if I long for the departed,

And in self -pity, I wallow

Soon,

I’ll let my tears dry,

And make my armour hallowed.

I’ll walk by shallow minds,

And through the kindest spirits,

I’ll take your hand in mine,

Your love and care I’ll cherish.

With patience and with time,

My shell will crack one day,

Forever seems so far,

But I’ll live a little today.

Oh, so far have I come,

So long since I was numb.

The faces fade away,

The memories here to stay,

Oh, I do miss them every day!

But I think, I’ll move on a little today.

I’ll remember the happy, the sad,

And even good, bad and rad.

For it’s time to say goodbye,

For a new chapter to start,

For Hopes to fly so high.

So here I am today,

Thriving night and day

Some highs, some lows

Some triumphs, some blows.

I fight harder everyday

I am not the same as yesterday,

For life is entwined with grief and joy

And we have to walk by all the way.
