Waiting

There is still time, to myself, I lie

And the clock in front of me laughs at me

Tick tock tick tock tick tock and slowly I die

From within, how much more will it be

Of waiting, patience and more waiting

Before I get to see you, hear your voice

How much of pain will your absence bring

Before I smile, I know, leaving me

isn’t a choice for you, its a necessity

But what of my stupid heart, gone with you

And of my empty mind, that keeps thinking

Rewinding the time, good, bad spent with you

Still I cannot stop waiting, hoping

Just as I can’t stop missing you, loving you
