“Voice”

I have a voice you have a voice

We have a voice we must use it

Not to cause confusion or spark illusions

But to create a solution to the pollution that’s in the air

Lies here and there like a dark cloud over millions

Killing the children destroying cultures

With the enemy over our heads like vultures

While we starve for the truth we’ve been needing since youth

Left stranded desolate and destitute

So should we just be mute

Or should we make a stand get to stumping

Raise our voices blow the trumpet

Be for something or live for nothing

Our ancestors crying from the grave

We can’t forget their suffering

So until all wounds are healed and the tombs are sealed

Justice fulfilled and education going uphill

Yell

Raise your voice like you don’t have a choice and

Yell

Go to the poles in droves let it be known and

Yell

Let them know that we won’t fail

We won’t yield we will prevail

And with a solid foundation that’s ever bracing beneath us

We stand on principles that a never mislead us

By this transforming the next generation of leaders

Oh what a great responsibility has beseeched us

So with this resonating I know it’s safe to say that

We have a voice!
