Title-Vision Beneath The Surface.

Humans are beautiful just as they are,

but don't dare love me until you've seen all my scars.

They expected me to be delicate, like a rose in bloom,

but every rose has thorns that loom.

Imagined as a river-beautiful, endless, with a heart so wide,

but even rivers carry dead remains deep inside.

They cherished me as sunshine, bright and bold,

but when my rays fell upon them, they couldn't bear the warmth and longed for the cold.

They wanted to love me like the moon in the serene sky,

but even the moon has craters; that cannot be denied.

Why was it my hollow outer surface that caught their eye,

while they kept wondering how the unseen depths made me cry?

Wasn't it pointless, this love they gave,

when my heart remained inside a cage?
