You’re my victory, the glory of my days,
Where we danced around in the light rays.
With you around I feel elated,
In your presence my everyday is celebrated,
But now without you I feel deflated.
The memories we shared and the laughs we knew,
The jokes we made when we hadn’t a clue,
That these days would end leaving me blue.
You were my pride and joy,
My confidant, my trusted ally.
Every breath I take, every tear that falls,
Serves to remind me of your loss.
The stories we shared under the moonlit sky,
Now have no voice, please tell me why?
Standing all alone i realise,
Our love had always harmonised.
The days of idle banter,
The days I’d annoy you with my constant chatter,
Those days have ended with a splatter.
You are my victory, the joy I once found,
But now you’re my loss, cause of my heart’s broken sound.
In the silence of the night your absence cripples,
Forever leaving a void that always ripples.
This void which cannot be filled,
The relationship which took time to build,
All resonate with the pain that your eyes flickered,
That day with our end my world shivered.
You are my loss, the ache I can’t neglect,
But the memories we cherished I vow to never forget.
For though we’re buried under,
I still remember that wonder.
My love for you will never break,
For you are my victory and my heart’s greatest ache
