Victory

Don’t limit me to the cage of mortality

For I am not a canary behind bars.

I am a raptor and my call will echo for miles,

Reverberating through my soul.

I’m committed to learning the lessons of stone,

Of endurance and resolve;

And when that knowledge is mine,

I will last when all else crumbles.

I shall bend the cosmic laws,

Channelling the power of stars.

The night sky shall be mine,

And I’ll carve constellations of my own.

Every path of my journey

Will be a greeting in different hues.

Every path I turn

Will bring me closer to balance.

The scales of fate shall tip in my favour,

And I shall be triumphant.

For I am Determination,

And I shall lead myself to victory.
