vergete

jy los koue waterringe

op die oppervlak van my houttafel

en ‘n vuurwarm asem

in die atmosfeer van my kombuis

jy vergeet jou voetspore

in die modder in my agtertuin

jou hoendervleis stem

dryf deur my sitkamervenster

dele van jou bly agter in my huis

dele wat ek lief gehad het

dele wat ek verlang

dele wat ek terug soek.
