"Urge In Me"

There's an urge in me to call you

To let you know that i have a headache.

To tell you that i just had green tea

For the first time !

And that it was surprising tasteless

It didn't fill me with pleasure

As i had hoped,

And that made be belly laugh to my core

I had to tell my brother about it

But i wanted to tell you first.

There's an urge in me to text you

To wish you the Best of Luck !

For your future ahead

But it would be one without me

So i refrain

I prefer to be the main character

In the story of your life

Even after my chapter has ended.

There's an urge in me to make you happy

To pull the blue nightingale's

Hidden in the woods

And hold them within the nector of your eye

So you could be in awe

Of something other than youself for once

In front of me.

I have yet to see you be humbled

By another.

There's an urge in me to make you laugh

I know i must have made you once

But i no longer remember it.

Can't reminisce

on the sound of your chuckle

Or the creases in your brow

As you shake from head to toe in pleasure

I have yet to see our laughter be intertwined in harmony.

Honey,

Tell me your secrets

I hardly know you

Not enough to quench my thirst

Send me essays

Even sonnets would do,

I could help you write them too.

There's an urge in me to forget you

Even the sound of you unearths me

You baffle me anew

You are a little too much and a little too few

I leave shaken after every second with you

I do not like this part of me near you.

You hurt my heart once

Now i hardly care for you

Eh ! Maybe that's not the closest to truth.
