"Unvoiced Pangs: A Gendered Gaze"

In a marriage fraught with strife and discontent,

Why is it only the girl who bears the brunt?

Her worth measured by the pride she brings,

But where's the scrutiny of the burdens he flings?

Once a player in the game of pride, now drowned in shame,

But who knows the truth behind her silent blame?

Her struggles alive, silently she endures,

But the pride she's abandoned, who's to find its cures?

Her silent cries, known to none but her heart,

Who will take the test, who'll play the part?

Why cast judgment without knowing her pain,

When dreams tossed aside, how do they sustain?

Amidst the chaos, where lies the resolution,

In childhood's innocence, did they find absolution?

Who will decide, who will decree,

No time to waste, yet today, her scent we still see.

In a marriage fraught with strife and despair,

Who will ponder, who will dare,

To unravel the tangled threads of her plight,

But now, satire seems the only light.
