Unslept Dream

You were my epiphany. You were my lore; 

I wish I was that girl that had you more. 

You were that dream for which I wish I never woke up; Addicting as it seemed, your presence had me choke up. 

We had our own way of telepathing around; 

Always had my mind occupied with your thoughts that were profound. 

As much as a fairytale of an experience as it seemed; 

“Devil in disguise”--- my intuition screamed. 

Intense feelings that I had never felt rose up; 

That is when even the thought of being stranded and abandoned made me holdyoucloser. 

The more I tightened the grip; 

The more it made me squeeze till the blood drip. 

Had I known that I was deceived into feeling ecstatic; 

That was when my dream collapsed and I opened my tearful eyes, feeling extremelydramatic. 

That’s when the realisation hit me hard.... 

There are things that just start to end, the things that have no purpose in life;

Such are the things that are just meant to be felt and not survived. 

You were my epiphany, You were my lore; 

I wish I was that girl that had you more.
