Unrequited Love

Am I subjected to a life of despair,

or perhaps to be a remnant of a one-sided affair?

The thousand little deaths my heart has died,

yearning for the saga of your late delights.

Your uncertainty and crumbs of affection

denied me a lovefest in life and resurrection.

My loveless plight and the empty page,

thoughts in ink igniting your muse and sage.

Profundity of a poem, my vow of eternal devotion,

emblem of our forbidden allure, ravaging frenzy of emotion.

Abysm of my thoughts and grand proclamation,

luxury of dull ache and your mundane affirmation.

A passionate abyss, testimonies of my soul,

untangle your thoughts, for love surges all control.
