It wasn’t locked, that door

It couldn’t lock, remember

Its key was lost, long ago

It opened just opens

But I guess you were scared

You’ve never had to be on this side

You got used to the shadows under the door.

You knew they were in pain didn’t you?

I waited for the darkness behind that door to fade

I waited for a hero to free me of my chosen cage

I wanted you to see behind that door

I wanted you to see me, the real me!
