Under The Moonlight
By Aditya Ranjan
Wind blowing under the moonlight shine.
With sparkles on the waters,
that of flowers and pine.
Inviting me with a pink scent,
glowing with a pink shine.
Clearing of my exhaust the wind goes through,
Legs suspended on the shore,
the waters drenching off my sins too.
The flower's rind filtering the moonlight,
making it milk white, relaxing my bones
I rest here pretty much with my lone.
But now I see another being too,
hiding in the trees I only see a black boo.
Her hair dancing with the blow,
however, it is curious she didn’t let herself show.
Sure it was she wanted my eyes;
but certainly not my mind,
for she was dancing and jumping with kind.
And oh, her face was like a covered book,
one which surely didn’t want a look.
And perhaps I will never know who she is,
but will sit and see her dangling all night long,
hoping she will reveal verses of her song.
And I will be waiting under the moon shine.
