Two Decade

By Pratishtha Dabas

I thrived, strived,

cried simple, smiled dimples,

had a rollercoaster ride.

Of all, I survived.

Too many regrets and pain

I might not let in vain,

there is a lot more to come,

I will try to embrace the wholesome.

Life's route has many gravels

but I am content,

that it gives me a memory full of travels.

I have not grown too old to talk philosophical,

but it does sound logical.

The teenage has finally set me free,

as they say,

I may now enjoy the spree.

The poet in me is now growing devotional

I must wrap it

as I do not want to spend my day feeling emotional.

So here I am, good or bad,

somewhat mad,

a bit loved and mostly hated,

a lot complicated.

And for me,

wonderful times are still awaited.

Bye, kindly wish me well before it's belated :)
