Trees

By Kristy Saikia

Trees,

interlocked and entangled,

detached from one another.

Voiceless and wordless,

parted since ages,

but deeply rooted together

for always.

But humans?

connected and intwined

in the veins of unspoken words,

are not voiceless,

not detached

then why do,

hearts deceive hearts?

hearts shatter hearts?
