Tree In A Meadow

I stand alone without a fellow,

When the orange sun turns to yellow.

Whether the wind is harsh or mellow,

I sleep in peace without a pillow.

My velvet flowers will wave you hello,

Whenever you visit my beautiful meadow.

I will shade you when you rest below.

I will cure your pain if you will allow.

The silence around will make you hollow,

Teach you lessons of life to follow.

Even if you don’t think I am hallow,

Your toxic waste I will swallow.
