Toxic Till The End

By Dhritika Deka

Made participate in your game,

Deep down, I knew it all.

Ruined, blamed for no reason,

When root was you, cause was you.

May you meet a soul like you,

With same shades of grey.

Let their ways mirrors your true strides,

So you can taste your real self.

Our paths shall never cross,

Learned, fought and moved on.

Kindness should never be taken as weakness,

It brings you the hardest lesson – a regret that might scar you for life.

Plotting an evil game was fun for you,

Involving others to show yourself the great.

Everything was so toxic till the end,

Yet still I hold it well,

Your darkness holds no power over me.

I gave up my time in aiding you,

But left shattered and empty.

You made it seem like it was me,

While no one seems to know who truly plotted it.

They aren’t bothered to know but eager to assume and watch the game,

Maybe they knew a bit but leaned towards the side that served them best.

Hold on – now I see it all.

If someone plays the same match,

I’ll know it better.

It was so toxic till the end.
