Tough Hours

By Stuti Kapoor

Times are sour and so we are engrossed in thoughts that lack order. Each moment stands unpredicted.

It might be life taking, a bit relieving or birth giving.

Being in mixed emotions conclude to staying cautious.

Right now, life in bulk is at a stake.

For some whose loved one is in danger, each second matters. Their eyes speak:

I celebrated life with utmost modesty

and I'll continue doing so, honestly.

Dear Almighty, I will settle for less

and bow down to fess.

Complete me and mine

to together sipping wine.

My eyes behold dreams,

life set back to greens.

For some who are suffering, their conscience pronounce:

Wondering how the tiniest one made its way

and allowed the family to stay away.

From phone's ringing to temperature's noting

to assure everyone, I am nodding.

With an urge to come out,

windows enable to observe who flout.

The ones who are curing many, dutifully:

"Who say God isn't on earth, I am one of his living forms.

My profession allows me to know your body and not you

but now I have different roles to pursue.

I work all day and night selflessly,

dressed in white kit helplessly.

I am the other providing protection

to you and yours from infection.

I can't spare time with my family,

staying for long hours on roads for me is not an anomaly.

I beg you to stay in,

don't let the virus in your life to spin."

The virus don't discriminates.

It is one and same for all though it's outcomes can be different.

The only thing that can low down it's effect is

Being mentally together and Being humane.

“Before you call yourself a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu or any other theology, learn to be human first.”

Shannon L. Alder

We are encountering dreadful situations wherein we are lacking all the useful resources.

In such an adverse circumstance,

How can one imagine of monetary gains?

Nothing is more pure and important than health.

And we are learning incidents where

MISGUIDANCE

and

BLACK MARKETING

is not on hold.

All the resources that are important right now are sold at more high prices.

Thereby, depriving the unprivileged ones from safety.

This is not a human practice.

The pandemic continues and such practices lead to policy paralysis. The right deserver is not able to get the best.

It's a sincere urge to spread humanity and be a helpful hand to someone.

“Not how long, but how well you have lived is the main thing.” — Seneca

We need to be together in this as we also can be knocking the door next.

"I am just a human being trying to make it in a world that is rapidly losing its understanding of being human." - John Trudell
