Tomorrow, When?

By Ayisha Saniya Ambalavan

17th April 2024

To: You Today

Tomorrow is a word

created to give us an

illusion of a time

that we are not promised

a semblance of solace

for an unguaranteed future

so why then?

do you put so much of your life

living for a tomorrow

when you can only ever

Live in today.

- ‘wear that new dress, light that candle and say all that’s trapped in your heart.’

P.s. An ode to procrastinators-

soon enough, a later date is here

a deadline pushing through,

we blame the time, watch it disappear

and regret, even though we knew.

             xoxoxo,

You Tomorrow
