She is my ray of light, holding whose fingers, I make my way; She is my darkness, the brilliant black sky where my stars shine; She is my wind when I flap my wings, my roots when I falter and sway; She is the bounce in my step, the joy in my smile – she, I proudly say, is mine.

She is the warmth of a hug amidst the cold, biting frost

She is a pat on the back, a gentle caress, a tender forehead kiss She is the light of a million fireflies, when all my hope is lost She is the comfort of a mother’s lullaby, when Life seems amiss.

She is my looking-glass, who mirrors my blatant flaws and latent allure She is the splendid sunset, that casts breathtaking hues on my skies She is the dewdrop on my pasture – beautiful, soothing and pure She is the fuel that keeps my fire burning, she is the spark in my eyes.

She is the most touching poem the book of my life contains She is the whisper of love echoed by the rustling of woods in Spring She is the shower of blessings Heaven sent down amidst thunder and rains She is a rainbow, a melody, a zephyr – she is the bliss in every little thing.

She is the cherry blossom which is, throughout my orchards, strewn She is the enchanting symphony, that drains every disquieting noise She is the blazing Sun I look to for strength, she is my gentle, reassuring Moon She is my guide through dark tunnels, she is an echo of my soul’s voice.

She is the ground beneath my feet, the skies that house the dreams I chase She is the rhythm to my words, the music to my life’s song

She is my glimmer of hope, she is the tranquillity in a warm embrace

She is HOME. I repeat, she is HOME – she, is where I belong.

She is a splash of magic, a generous sprinkle of stardust from above

She is the lantern that shines on my blessings, on all things good and benign She is a reservoir of courage, faith, conviction and boundless love

She is the light of my eyes – she, I gratefully say, is mine.
