To The Crazy World We Live In

For some of us, journeying with you

Has been nothing but a fairytale,

But to a wider lot of us,

It’s been one hell of a ride,

Yet, to be on the same page

We all owe you

For moulding us into things,

We never thought we’d become!

There are moments,

When you bring out the light within,

Help us shine,

And you don’t just stop right there,

You also lure out a crippled monster,

Hell-bent on being set free!

Isn’t it amazing how nature has mood swings too?

The drizzles that kindle the tenderness of our souls,

Can in no time trigger fear,

Quiver our minds with furious storms,

It certainly manifests a speedometer,

A giant step up,

From the charming Cinderella to the raging Kannagi,

A monstrous turn of events!

In your attempt to spice things up,

You throw in ounces of guilt and regret,

Ensuring we suffer brutally!

Is it just me

Or

Is the entire universe

In awe of your tremendous ways?

We’re often lectured to seek solutions,

Answer questions,

But somehow lose sight of it,

With none to blame!

Here again,

We owe you for silencing us,

Shutting us into momentary cocoons,

Until a dawn strikes in,

Provoking thoughts,

That serve each kind!

Though your ways seem unpredictable,

You paint a picture of hope in the end,

Letting us find a way through

We all have demons lurking within,

But for all it’s worth,

It’s best not to stir them!
