To The Children Of The Cosmos

By Anushka Dey

Your eyes have the depth of sea

Just as solemn yet feral and free

( you have ) The same calmness and life it bears

The same mad rage and salt in your tears

So why think falling is a bad bargain

Remember waves collapse to rise again

Your mind as magnificent as an ancient tree

Just as withered yet vibrant and green

( you have ) The same artistry and wisdom age-old

The same desolation and patience it holds

Yet you hold on to past and rot in despair and gloom

Let go of wilted flowers, new buds would bloom

Your spirit as exuberant as  a butterfly

Just as adventurous yet diffident and shy

(You have) the same  grace the same flamboyance

The same kaleidoscopic wings fluttering with elegance

Trust the process, as brick by brick you build tomorrow’s pillar

Forget not the rainbow hued butterfly was once a caterpillar

You are a beautiful chaos , a walking art

Carrying the elixir of life in your heart

Your have the magic of moonlight in your veins

So you bleed light when the world scorches you in cruel flames

So when you burn , burn like a phoenix to rise again

Just like the moon that phases out to be full again
