To Never Heal

Come closer and take me away,

Until the wounds fade from display,

Replaced by scars that will forever stay.

Sing me the song of the sea,

Erase the memories by my plea,

Destined to chains, my soul wills to be free.

Take my mind and take my pain,

Over to the earth that painted the stain,

Never to give back what was washed away in the rain.

Empty my past and take my hand,

Veiled in the blood washed by sand,

Ever to be lost, never shall they understand.

Remind me, reap my soul,

Help me try to become whole,

Even if my fate’s lost control.

And tell me some things last,

Like winter’s warmth that came when I asked.
