To Dad...

Dad,

Never did I have this thought,

This thought of losing you someday,

Until it was too late,

Too late, that you had already gone away!

Far away with a better fate.

Not just with a better fate, but rather

To a much better place,

A place, better than this whole world…

Oh, I wish!

Just for once, I could hear your voice,

But this life’s very unfair,

It hasn’t given me that much of a choice.

You left me all broken,

So broken I could never express,

Nevertheless, you taught me how to grow,

How to grow enough to be on my own!

All on my own independent and strong.

You always were and will always be my superhero,

My inspiration of being strong you’ll always be.

Now, even though you aren’t here beside me,

You’ll always be there in my heart,

In my heart forever and ever…
